Meet your Faculty:

Jason Goodwin, MS, MPH, RN, CNOR, began his nursing career as a Navy Nurse Corps officer in 2002, performing primary surgical trauma care on the frontlines of battle. He was eventually awarded the Presidential Unit Citation and three naval achievement medals. He has served in numerous perioperative leadership roles and has experience with regulatory issues, quality and safety, evidence-based care, and nursing administration. Goodwin is also the president of Innovative Cultures Consulting LLC, a perioperative efficiency and medical/legal consulting firm.

As an administrator, Jason has personally supervised the safe care in and around surgery and other procedures in various operating room venues for 15 years, totaling approximately 200,000 surgeries. Jason has extensive knowledge related to surgical clinical scenarios and experience as a Registered Nurse, Operating Room Manager, Director, and Administrator in similar venues. Jason completed the Institute of Healthcare Improvement’s Patient Safety Executive post-graduate course in 2013 and currently holds a professional certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR).
