If you’re familiar with Grace Troutman’s work, you already know she has a way of getting things juuust right. I like to call it the goldilocks zone. And this collaboration is no different. Golden Presets are basking in golden neutral tones and tons of warmth. You’ll find filmy hues and warm bold profiles that are sure to give you the fuzzies all over any way you use them. This pack includes 12 presets total – 10 color and 2 black and white – with 8 gorgeous color profiles to boost or tone down each preset.

Golden Presets consists of 10 color presets, 2 BW presets, and custom Creative Profile’s (please see * below for compatibility).

Before and after images below demonstrate how each preset manipulates an image with identical white balance and exposure.

*These presets ONLY work with Lightroom Classic CC (version 7.5 or later), Lightroom CC (version 1.3 or later), and Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.5f or later). For earlier versions, you MUST update your editing applications to meet the required specifications.

What is a Creative Profile?

A Creative Profile is a custom setting that can be individually applied over an already edited image. The coolest part is that because these profiles don’t affect any of the sliders in Lightroom, you can crank their intensity up or down as you please with no consequence to your edit. To achieve Grace’s golden warmth with this particular profile, I used a combination of tone curves, and color adjustment layers. All in, this feature is a remarkably effective tool that takes an image from Wow to Whoa in a hurry.

Golden 1
Golden 1 is a rich and warm neutral that adds depth to any image while still bringing a lovely softness that plays well in quiet intimate moments.

Golden 2
A favorite of the pack for Grace, Golden 2 offers heaps of her signature warmth and radiant yellow tones that create a never ending golden-hour. Yes, you read that correctly, a never-ending golden hour.

Golden 3
Golden 3 is for the purists. It’s true to color with a lift of warmth that adds a bit more dimension and a whole lot of delight.

Golden 4
This preset is similar to Golden 2 with its dripping warmth and gentle highlights, but it has an additional hazy layer that puts images into a dream-like state that’s hard to resist.

Golden 5
Keeping the hazy goodness of Golden 4, Golden 5 is a bit more subtle and offers warmer greens without overexposing the pinks or reds. Grassy landscapes have never looked better.

Golden 6
Golden 6 is a superb base preset for receptions and tackling artificial light. One of the cooler presets in the pack with mellow contrast and timeless tonality that makes an easy- to-use solution for tricky lighting scenarios.

Golden 7
Golden 7 is a pure winner. Punchy contrast and surprising depth give images an entirely new “it factor”. These presets really shine in dramatic and diverse landscapes.

Golden 8
Golden 8 teases in a range of red hues to give you ultra dreamy sunsets and a universe of detail.

Golden 9
This preset is a vintage lovers anthem. With tons of filmy vibes, Golden 9 makes it easy to get those vintage tones that can be so hard to create on your own.

Golden 10
A perfect companion to Golden 9, this preset gives you all the same dreamy vintage tones with just a pinch less contrast.

Golden 11 BW
Golden 11 BW is a bright black and white preset with ample personality that offers balanced highlights and contrast for each image.

Golden 12 BW
A personal black and white favorite for Grace, Golden 12 BW adds lots of drama with deep shadows and grain galore!

How to install
*For Lightroom Classic CC (version 7.5 or later), Lightroom CC (version 1.3 or later), or Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.5 or later)

Lightroom Classic CC version 7.5 or later

1. After you have downloaded your presets DO NOT unzip the file
2. Open Lightroom and go to the Develop Module with an image
3. Click on the + icon in the Preset Panel. Select “Import Presets”
4. Navigate to the downloaded presets zip file
5. Click “Import”

Lightroom CC version 1.3 or later

1. Open Adobe Lightroom CC
2. Select File > Import Profiles and Presets
3. Select the downloaded preset folder and click ‘Import’
4. Open the photo you would like to edit, click the edit toolbar on the right-hand side of Lightroom and then you’ll find the imported preset when you select the ‘Presets’ button

Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.5 or later) for Mac

1. Make sure you’re closed out of your Photoshop application
2. Unzip the zip file that was downloaded
3. On your Desktop Finder click GO
4. Hold down the ⌥ Option key and click Library
5. Click through the following folders Application Support>Adobe>Camera Raw>Settings
6. Locate the Folder titled GOLDEN PRESETS
7. While holding down the ⌥ Option key drag the presets into the Settings folder you located
8. Now Launch Photoshop with a RAW image and your presets will be located in ACR under the Presets icon

Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.5 or later) for Windows (xmp files)

1. Make sure you’re closed out of your Photoshop application
2. Unzip the zip file that was downloaded
3. Go to this file location on your computer C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings
4. Locate the folder titled Golden PRESETS
5. Hit Ctrl+C to copy the folder
6. Go to the Settings folder you located and hit Ctrl+V to paste the folder
7. Now Launch Photoshop with a RAW image and your presets will be located in ACR under the Presets icon
