Harkening back to early inspiration in his work, Blake Hogge went in search of a visual nuance that leaves you pining for the details. The kind of imagery that comes at you with gorgeous subtlety and true dedication to its subject. What we ended up with is a pack offering true to color tonality and gentle swaths of warmth for a full spectrum of feelings. Skin tones remain creamy with soft contact and calm highlights that keep subjects center frame. If you find yourself inexplicably attracted to this pack, you’re not alone. The magic of the Blake Hogge presets is really more of an experience than an explanation.

Blake Hogge Presets consists of 9 color presets and 1 BW presets.

Before and after images below demonstrate how each preset manipulates an image with identical white balance and exposure.

**These presets are created for RAW images only and work with Lightroom 4, 5, 6, CC 2015, Lightroom Classic CC, Lightroom CC and Adobe Camera Raw CS6 or later.

BH1
BH1 is anchored in Blakes signature style. Dragging you in with creamy skin tones, warm highlights, and cool shadows while still retaining ambient color. This one gets the kiss of the chef.

BH2
BH2 is all about preserving the goodness in tricky light. Superb on both backlit images and blue-hour shots, it makes slight adjustments to blues that create a modern 80’s film vibe.

BH3
A harsh light maestro, BH3 pulls highlights down without sacrificing creamy skin tones. It’s hard to not get beautiful results with this preset.

BH4
Blakes signature preset for dream light on a cloudy day, BH4 preserves skin tones and color while offering a subtle warmth and breeze of coolness.

BH5
BH5 is a bit of a wildcard in the pack. It desaturates yellows for a truly unique vibe in your photos and is absolutely ideal for golden-hour sunsets. So get ready to be both surprised and delighted.

BH6
The warmest preset of the pack, BH6 will be your magic wand for keeping skin tones balanced in darker/cooler lighting scenarios.

BH7
The most desaturated preset of the pack, BH7 has a poppy cinematic edge that’s both incredibly versatile and downright fun.

BH8
BH8 maintains clean highlights for a crisp moodiness that punches up highlights for a little drama and looks absolutely dreamy in golden-hour shots.

BH9
A slight twist on BH2, BH9 is great for using on backlit images when you want to maintain highlights. Whites will jump a level in brilliance while getting a dash of contrast.

BH10 BW
This is the signature Blake Hogge Black and White Preset. It’s contrasty for pop without overwhelming subjects. And with lowered blacks and an itch of grain, it nearly always surprises on images that you didn’t think would look great in Black and White.

How to install
*For Lightroom 4, 5, 6, Lightroom Classic CC, Lightroom CC, or Adobe Camera Raw

Lightroom Classic CC version 7.3 or later (xmp files)

1. After you have downloaded your presets DO NOT unzip the file
2. Open Lightroom and go to the Develop Module with an image
3. Click on the + icon in the Preset Panel. Select “Import Presets”
4. Navigate to the downloaded presets zip file
5. Click “Import”

Lightroom CC version 1.3 or later (xmp files)

1. Open Adobe Lightroom CC
2. Select File > Import Profiles and Presets
3. Select the downloaded preset folder and click ‘Import’
4. Open the photo you would like to edit, click the edit toolbar on the right-hand side of Lightroom and then you’ll find the imported preset when you select the ‘Presets’ button

Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.3 or later) for Mac (xmp files)

1. Make sure you’re closed out of your Photoshop application
2. Unzip the zip file that was downloaded
3. On your Desktop Finder click GO
4. Hold down the ⌥ Option key and click Library
5. Click through the following folders Application Support>Adobe>Camera Raw>Settings
6. Locate the Folder titled Blake Hogge Presets
7. While holding down the ⌥ Option key drag the presets into the Settings folder you located
8. Now Launch Photoshop with a RAW image and your presets will be located in ACR under the Presets icon

Adobe Camera Raw (version 10.3 or later) for Windows (xmp files)

1. Make sure you’re closed out of your Photoshop application
2. Unzip the zip file that was downloaded
3. Go to this file location on your computer C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings
4. Locate the folder titled Blake Hogge Presets
5. Hit Ctrl+C to copy the folder
6. Go to the Settings folder you located and hit Ctrl+V to paste the folder
7. Now Launch Photoshop with a RAW image and your presets will be located in ACR under the Presets icon

Lightroom 4, 5, 6, CC 2015, or Classic CC 7.2 or below (LRTEMPLATE files)

1. Locate the folder where the presets downloaded
2. Launch the Adobe Lightroom app that you plan to use
3. Click Lightroom at the top left of your screen
4. Click Preferences
5. Click the Presets tab and click Show Lightroom Presets folder
6. Double click the LIGHTROOM folder and double click the Develop Presets Folder
7. For MAC hold down the ⌥ Option key and drag to copy the Preset folder(s) into your Develop Presets folder
8. For WINDOWS hit Ctrl+C and then go to the Develop Presets folder and hit Ctrl+V to paste the Preset folder(s)
9. You’ll then need to quit Lightroom and re-open Lightroom to activate the presets
