Meet Your Teacher
Saytek

Saytek (aka Joseph Keevill) has gathered some serious momentum over the last few years, becoming one of the electronic music scene’s most in-demand live acts. With global recognition for his live modular shows and releases on Carl Cox and Christopher Coe’s Awesome Soundwave label.

Saytek has garnered acclaim the world over with his improvised live shows that see him using a myriad of kits including analog synths, sequencers, and drum machines alongside cutting edge digital technology to perform a unique blend of deep & hypnotic techno, acid, and house that is forward-thinking yet not forgetting influences from Detroit or the UK’s and Europe’s fiercely inventive 90’s electronic movement.

About This Course

With the right sounds for a full track, Saytek shows us how he would arrange a track from start to finish. Working in session view in Ableton Live.

As a live performer, Saytek usually creates in session view. For part of this lesson, he shows how he would take a track in arrangement view and touch it up to a finished product.

You will learn:

Preparing a live session
Creating intros
Breakdowns
Recording into arrangement view
Arrangement tips
Using existing sounds to make new elements
LFO effects
Automation effects
Drum fills
Working with a vocal
Arranging on the fly
How to tell when your track is ready

Lessons:

2. The Introduction
Starting with the chords and atmospheric drums, Saytek creates the intro for this track. Using Clip Automation to create a build.

3. The Breakdown
Taking out a lot of the high frequency sounds to create a low tone feeling, Saytek shows us how he’d make a breakdown, adding in new elements along the way.

4. Recording The Arrangement
Using visual cues and other organization tips to help prepare the project for final arrangement. Saytek records the track into the arrangement view by triggering the scenes.

5. Adding to The Track
Creating new audio tracks and adding in vocal samples. Saytek shows us how he’d improve a track in the arrangement view, using automated delays and filters to create movement.

6. Carving Into The Track
Taking a static arrangement to an interesting, moving track. Saytek explains how he would make use of existing sounds to create different elements.

7. Adding Effects
Adding the final layers of effects in the breakdowns and builds, here’s what Saytek does to create interesting sounds using LFO effects.

8. Finishing Drums
Additional claps to create a building feeling, the track is sounding nearly complete.

9. Introduction & Recap
Looking back at the track as a whole. This is how Saytek does his arrangement.

10. Working the Vocal
Rather than having the same vocal loop play out, Saytek shows us his process of making the vocal more interesting.

11. Arranging on The Fly
Taking the whole track from start to finish, Saytek shows us how we would arrange on the fly.

12. The Outro & Final Touches
Listening back to the track fully and editing it as he goes along.

Live Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Innovative Business Model:
    • Embrace the reality of a genuine business! Our approach involves forming a group buy, where we collectively share the costs among members. Using these funds, we purchase sought-after courses from sale pages and make them accessible to individuals facing financial constraints. Despite potential reservations from the authors, our customers appreciate the affordability and accessibility we provide.
  2. The Legal Landscape: Yes and No:
    • The legality of our operations falls into a gray area. While we lack explicit approval from the course authors for resale, there’s a technicality at play. When procuring the course, the author didn’t specify any restrictions on resale. This legal nuance presents both an opportunity for us and a boon for those seeking budget-friendly access.
  3. Quality Assurance: Unveiling the Real Deal:
    • Delving into the heart of the matter – quality. Acquiring the course directly from the sale page ensures that all documents and materials are identical to those obtained through conventional means. However, our differentiator lies in going beyond personal study; we take an extra step by reselling. It’s important to note that we are not the official course providers, meaning certain premium services aren’t included in our package:
      • No coaching calls or scheduled sessions with the author.
      • No access to the author’s private Facebook group or web portal.
      • No entry to the author’s exclusive membership forum.
      • No direct email support from the author or their team.

We operate independently, aiming to bridge the affordability gap without the additional services offered by official course channels. Your understanding of our unique approach is greatly appreciated.

Refund is acceptable:

  • Firstly, item is not as explained
  • Secondly, Item do not work the way it should.
  • Thirdly, and most importantly, support extension can not be used.

Thank you for choosing us! We’re so happy that you feel comfortable enough with us to forward your business here.
